Cemetery rules & regulations

Where the person to be interred or in respect of whom the exclusive right of burial was granted was, or not less than 28 days before his/her death had been, an inhabitant or community charge payer of Thurcaston and Cropston.

As regards a person who dies in a hospital or in care, outside of Thurcaston and Cropston, where immediately prior to hospitalisation such person had been an inhabitant or community charge payer of Thurcaston and Cropston, then the 28 day qualification period is extended to 5 years, or such period as permitted by the Burial Authority.

Whereby a resident who has purchased a Deed for a grave space and has subsequently moved away from the Parish, a non-resident fee will apply for interment.
