Rak's Trust - Cropston family raise funds for Air Ambulance

Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance are saying thank you to the Cropston family of flight lieutenant Rakesh Chauhan, after they presented £8,300 to the charity at their base at East Midlands Airport.

Rakesh’s family set up a trust in memory of the 29-year-old intelligence officer who died with four colleagues in Kandahar province, near the Pakiston border, in April 2014.

The money was raised by family members, including his father, Kishor, and brother, Kesh, of Cropston, when they took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in September. They were joined by 61 walkers aged between 15-67 years old, and all completed at least one of the peaks. Click here for news event.
