A46 at Wanlip Interchange (A6) Overnight work closures -Information supplied by Highways England

Resurfacing works on the A46 at its junction with the A6 Wanlip Interchange will commence 9th January 2019 for approximately 3 weeks. The work will be carried out overnight from 8pm to 6am Monday to Friday. Resurfacing will only work on weekends if absolutely necessary.

Upcoming Closures

9th - 10th January Westbound lane 1 closure. The slip road and Rectory Road approaching Wanlip will be closed. Lane 2 will remain open.

11th January Westbound full closure, from Hobby Horse to Wanlip (see plan for diversion route)

14th - 18th January Westbound lane 1 closure. The slip road and Rectory Road approaching Wanlip will be closed. Lane 2 will remain open.

21st January Eastbound lane 1 closure. The slip road approaching Wanlip will be closed. Lane 2 will remain open.

22nd January Eastbound full closure from Anstey to Wanlip. The Eastbound slip road at Groby (from the A50 to the A46) will also be closed. (See plan for diversion route)

23rd - 24th January Eastbound lane 1 closure. The slip road approaching Wanlip will be closed. Lane 2 will remain open.

Please note that all planned works are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Before a road is closed there will be in place fully signed diversion routes, which have been agreed with the local authority.

For the Rectory Road and slip road closures, short local diversion routes will be put in place (to the next A46 junction and back).
