Your Council receives a precept from its residents and uses it to invest in our villages.

It is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of:

  • The Memorial Hall
  • Jubilee Park (and playing fields)
  • Leicester Road Cemetery,
  • The flower planters
  • The flower bed at Rectory Lane roundabout
  • The grass verges of the Parish

The council comment on planning applications where comment is required and liaise with service providers and authorities regarding the day to day running of the parish.

Perhaps one of the largest undertakings is to produce our Neighbourhood Plan which will shape the development of our villages in the years to come. This is a collaborative process and we welcome input from all villagers. More information can be found here.

The activities fall into three main categories: representing the local community, delivering services to meet local needs, and improving quality of life and community well being.
